Tie Desk

Designers Elin Carlsten and Elisabeth Thostrup show a metal desk that’s fastened shut with a leather cord around two large buttons, inspired by the fastening on an envelope at an exhibition of young designers at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2012.

It is a great idea that I also had for my Slow Domo desk, final project for my masters (MAID) at CSM presented in 2009. Based on the manilla envelope, the proccess of closing the desk this way will help you to disconect from techlogy preventing metal issues related with overconectivity to the Internet.
