Isamu Noguchi

Japanese American artist and landscape architect, whose work expands across six decades. In 1926 Noguchi saw an exhibition in New York of the work of Constantin Brancusi's that changed his artistic direction. In 1947 in collaboration with Herman Miller company, he produced a series of designs that defines what modern design is.

Lina Bobardi's Bowl Chair

Designed in 1951 in Bo Bardi’s adopted home of Brazil, the Bowl Chair is an icon of Lina Bo Bardi’s adaptive style. Balancing the worlds of industrialized fabrication and the individualized object, Bo Bardi envisioned the Bowl Chair as flexible in structure while universal and essential in form. But, as with all of Bo Bardi’s designs, the ultimate emphasis remains on the human interaction with the object.

2 weeks ago I went to see the amazing Hercules & Love Affair at The Coronet for the XOYO Loves. What an amazing gig. They know how to keep the party up... and Mr Butler as soon as he takes his shirt of he as all of us under his spell. Can't wait for them to be back in town!
