This time I am not going to present you a designer. I am going to talk about a design company famous for its lighting products.

Castiglioni Arc Floor Lamp ( I want one of this in my future home)
Flos was founded in 1962 in Merano by Dino Gavina and Cesare Cassina, who wished to produce modern lighting. To develop new lighting concepts, they enlisted the aid of Achille Castiglioni, Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Tobia Scarpa.
Scarpa Fantasma Lamp
The first Flos retail store, designed by the Castiglioni brothers (Achille and Pier Giacomo), opened in Milan in 1968. Pino Tovaglia designed the logo, and Max Huber the catalogues.
In 1971 Flos opened its first subsidiary in Germany. The company continue growing andstarted collaborating with Philippe Starck. Other talented designers followed thereafter: Jasper Morrison, Konstatin Grcic, Marc Newson, Antonio Citterio, Marcello Ziliani, Marcel Wanders, Sebastian Wrong, Laurene Leon Boym, Piero Lissoni, Rodolfo Dordoni, Tim Derhaag, Johanna Grawunder, Joris Laarman, Knud Holscher, and Patricia Urquiola.
Now that I am going back to London I am checking the photos of my last visit in August... this is the TATE and don't u think that the painting in the top left is dificult to watch... the composition of pics it is cool for the living room of your house but not for a museum, right?
This are two pictures of his work called Shadow box 6, Reportero con fronteras. It sows at the same time 875 videos of news from the TV of EEUU and Mexico. Inside the HD screen there is a security camera system that recognized the silouete of the person in front of the piece of art.

The other day I was looking for grasshopper tutorials... Actually I thought I have downloaded the program but I do not known how to run it in Rhino... Anyway I found this interesting proyect made by the architecture studio of one of the structural engineer teachers from the School of Architecture of Seville (ETSAS) where I studied. He participated in the volume 06 fromPKNS, moreover I found it in the website of Arquitextonica who participated in PKN Sevilla v.07.
Después de graduarse en la ESDI Ceu de Valencia, se trasladó a Londres para realizar un Master en Diseño de Producto en el Royal College of Art. Antes de finalizar sus estudios en esta escuela, comenzó a colaborar con la firma holandesa Droog Design y la lámpara Superpatata forma ya parte de su colección.
Con esta misma lámpara consiguió ganar, en el verano del 2000, el Peugeot Design Award y desde entonces su trabajo ha aparecido en numerosas publicaciones tanto nacionales como internacionales.
Clothes Hanger Lamp
Sus piezas han sido expuestas extensamentes en todo el mundo, igual que en diferentes museos, como V&A de Londres, MOCA de Miami, IVAM de Valencia, y en el Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum de Nueva York. Después de colaborar con diferentes estudios en Valencia, Barcelona y Londres ha establecido su residencia en esta última, donde trabaja en nuevos proyectos y exposiciones.
